What Willa Members built after one event with Base44

Four Willa members walked into a Base44 workshop without a plan. They left having built an AI PR agent, a college research app, a decade of career coaching packaged into a tool, and a booking micro-site for a guest house and lifestyle publication.

The premise of the Base44 workshop was simple: you have 20 minutes, build something real. What happened after that 20 minutes is why we're writing this.

01. Kelly built an AI PR Agent from her phone

"I've kept building the project since the event. The first working MVP came together during the 20-minute build challenge at the workshop, entirely from my phone using the free Base44 account, no additional credits or paid plan. Since then, I've spent around five hours refining and expanding it."

That's Kelly Cuesta. She showed up to the workshop, opened Base44 on her phone, and built an AI PR Agent on a mission to democratise access to PR by helping women in tech discover, secure and manage speaking engagements, media features, podcasts, awards and other career-defining visibility opportunities.

Her long-term vision is specific: give every ambitious professional access to a 24/7 AI-powered PR partner, regardless of whether they have the budget for an agency.

02. Jennie built her son a college research app

Jennie Glass walked into the same workshop with a different problem.

"I'm super excited because I just built an app to help my son with his college research! It has just the criteria he's looking for, and has filtering and AI research features, as well as a public view-only link. I'm hooked now."

03. Anne turned a decade of career coaching into a tool

For almost ten years, Anne Benveniste has been helping people answer one question: what work actually fits who you are? Her whole philosophy is that it takes less energy to be yourself, and when you design a career that naturally fits you instead of fitting yourself into the career you think you need to have, that is when you thrive.

Until recently, that process took a full month of one-on-one work.

"For years I've been trying to figure out how to translate this in a digital way. I used ChatGPT and Claude to help me organize the frameworks and articulate what I do, the intuitive parts of my process that required me to see the patterns. Now I've been able to train the AI to think like I think and use my near decade of experience doing this work to build this product in the way that I know is the most effective. I've then been able to use Base44 to package it all up into this very neat, professional, easy-to-use tool."

The result is Career Studio, an AI-guided tool that walks people through Anne's Flow Zone method, generates their North Star, surfaces their sparkliest ideas, and helps them design experiments to test them.

04. Jessica turned a Notion hot-fix into a hospitality micro-site

Jessica Joseph came to the vibe coding session already deep in a project. She had spent a weekend wrestling with Notion, trying to build a booking page for her guest house so friends and family would stop doing the calendar dance with her every time they wanted to visit.

"The Notion page was a hot fix for the scheduling questions I get from friends and family who want to come visit. Gemini and Claude helped me see how the Willa midday vibe coding session could help bring my broader vision to life. Base44 made it so smooth to bring my hospitality, the newsletter and zine, and the garden vibes into one polished portal."

After the session, she re-engineered the whole thing into a standalone web app for her physical sanctuary and her budding lifestyle publication, Letters From The Safe House. You can visit it at the-safe-house.base44.app.

What connects these four builds

It's not the tool. It's the decision to start before feeling ready. Four women, four completely different problems, one workshop. They all built anyway.
