I rebuilt my coaching website in an afternoon with AI

I've had a website since 2014. Rebuilding it with Claude and Lovable is the first time it actually feels like me.
I've had a website since 2014. I built the original on Wix, and for years it did its job: it told people I existed, where to find me, what I do.
But it stopped feeling like me a long time ago. I'd been paying for it annually, and every time I wanted to change something it wasn't very intuitive. Updating my own site shouldn't feel like a small project. It had been on my to-do list for years to hire someone to build me something more professional.
I never got around to it. So one afternoon, I just did it myself, with Claude and Lovable.
The result is a live site for my coaching practice that finally feels like 2026 me. It's more modern, it's mine, and it connects directly to my Google Calendar so people can book time with me without a back-and-forth.
The part I didn't expect was how much more in control of my brand I feel now. I can change a line of copy, swap a photo, rework a section, in minutes. No ticket, no waiting, no relearning a builder I only touch once a year.
There's a bigger reason this matters to me. When I coach people, I'm constantly telling them to show, not tell. Build a portfolio. Make the thing. Especially now, in the AI era, the people who can point to what they've actually made have a real edge.
For most non-technical people, building that kind of portfolio used to be expensive and technically out of reach. That's not true anymore. Rebuilding my own site reminded me of that in the most direct way possible. If I can do this, the people I coach can too. The distance between an idea and a real, live thing on the internet has gotten a lot shorter than most people realize.
