My voice, louder: how I built an AI amplifier

Maddie Engelmeier, a product leader, built a local AI tool to amplify her writing style and tone. It's about making messages stronger, more relevant, and uniquely hers—without the AI slop.

I'm Maddie. I have spent my career bridging the gap between people and tech, living for those moments when something just clicks. I saw too much AI slop out there, and I was spending too much time finessing my own messages. I knew there had to be a way to use AI to get my voice out there, faster and stronger, without losing me in the process.

So, I built an AI Voice Amplifier. It's a local Claude tool that learns my writing style, my tone, my particular cadence. The goal: make my messages hit harder, resonate more with the right audience. Not sound like a generic bot, but sound like me, amplified.

Building it wasn't the hard part. The real challenge was the prompt engineering—facing my own communication style head-on. I had to confront how I actually write versus how I wish I wrote. That realization, and then engineering for it, was a surprise. You can read more about it here.

It was an eye-opening process. I built something that makes me more effective, more efficient. It helps me cut through the noise, showing up as my authentic self, just a little louder.
